Good Blog Content Writing can Improve Online Reputation

Tagged Under :

As most of the businesses today are executed over the internet, the online reputation of an organization matters a lot. It is quite evident that, in course of the business, an organization would earn both accolades and criticisms. The point is to manage these criticisms properly so that they do not harm the overall reputation of the organization. It has been seen that good blog content writing can prove to be effective in improving online reputation. As a result, a large number of organizations as well as individuals are getting inclined towards writing articles in order to maintain a good online reputation. There are a few steps that each writer needs to follow in order to write good content.

 •  Originality can be a decisive factor in making write ups popular. There are a large number of blogs on the internet. Many of them are identical in nature. So, it is important for every blog to retain some individuality in order to draw more and more readers from time to time. It would be wise to get rid of boring statements and make the blogs even more attractive by providing a good amount of information. The most important thing is the writer should always stay true to himself in order to produce good quality content.

•  One very effective way to improve online reputation is to join the conversation. All writers must try to engage the readers with their write ups by providing an opportunity for commenting. A post that does not allow readers to comment on it can never become popular. By increasing the interaction between the writer and readers, it is possible to make an article more widely read and, thus, more popular. Such blog content writing would also help in maintaining the online reputation to a large extent.

•  Networking can prove to be most effective when it comes to good blogging and improving online reputation. It is wise to ask a few respected and well known bloggers to be guest bloggers in your site. As blogs are online affairs, proper networking can yield good results easily by bringing more and more visitors and enhancing online reputation. Networking also helps the write ups to be shared in other sites, thus pushing more traffic to the site.

•  Frequent posting of blogs can improve traffic as well as online reputation. It certainly does not mean that a blogger has to post one blog every day; two to three blogs a week would be perfect. This would help maintain the flow of the posts and readers would never feel overwhelmed or bored with your posts.

Writing good content is the first and foremost requirement of blog content writing. A content that is full of information would automatically draw a large number of visitors and be popular within a short span of time. The days of link building and keyword stuffing are long gone. The only thing that matters now is the quality of the blog and no compromise should be made on that front.

How Can You Convert a Reader into a Customer through Content Marketing?

Tagged Under :

Readers convert to Customers

In the last one year, webmasters witnessed the wrath of Google’s Panda and Penguin updates which punished websites for keyword stuffing, poor content quality and link spamming. SEO experts realized that the days of thoughtless keyword insertion were gone as Google gave more priority to readers’ satisfaction and not how many keywords or links a site had. This situation changed the age old concept of content writing and link building altogether. Instead of writing gibberish content for article submission sites, writers are now concentrating more on content marketing.

Posting valuable articles on third party websites is a great strategy as far as branding and search engine optimization are concerned. You get natural high quality inbound links from a variety of sources and that improves ranking on SERPs.

However, to maximize the impact of content marketing and generate leads, you should follow some standard rules. Read the following points to learn how you can keep readers and search engines happy.

Know your audience – To reach your target audience effectively, you must know them, their likes and dislikes and what types of websites they visit regularly. Make a list of those websites because they are the ideal publisher of your posts. Contact the webmasters and send your articles for guest blogging.

Add images – You should include images in your post because graphics not only help in simplifying complicated facts but attract readers as well. When people share your content on social media sites like Facebook, they will be able to choose a suitable thumbnail to generate interest among their friends. Add your own image in the “about the writer” section as this will help Google check the authenticity of your article.

Promote – You may have exceptional content writing skills but visibility on the web determines readership. Therefore, use as many channels as possible for promotion. Mention about your guest posts in your website and share the articles’ links on your personal social media profile.

convert readers to customersGive references – While discussing a specific topic, try to mention the reputed personalities in that field. This has two benefits. The readers immediately understand that your information is genuine and when those experts see that you have mentioned their name, they share your posts with others willingly. They don’t want to help you but they can’t resist the desire to show other people that their name has been published as a reference.

Use keywords intelligently – Never pack the body content with too many keywords as Google will consider it as keyword spamming. Target Google’s weakness and insert your business related keywords in title, Meta and image alt tags for better ranking on SERPs.

Stand for something – Don’t tell people what you do because there are obviously dozens of other companies doing the same thing. Instead, tell people why you do it and what makes you different from others. When you highlight how your products/services can change the target consumers’ lives, they get hooked immediately.

Be transparent and follow up – Provide your readers with well researched content and if they find any mistake, accept your fault and apologize. Readers often post comments below articles and you should regularly visit the guest blogging sites to read the new comments. If someone asks any question, write a reply as soon as possible. Sometimes a simple “thank you” can make a loyal reader very happy.

Content marketing gives your brand incredible exposure and direct readers towards your website. So, utilize your content writing skills and start writing guest posts regularly for higher lead generation.

Five Website Copywriting Mistakes That You Cannot Afford to Commit

Tagged Under :

Irrespective of a website’s brilliant design or ease of navigation, it finally boils down to the words it contains. If they are not powerful enough, a casual visitor may remain just that without getting converted into a prospective customer. That is why you have to pay as much importance to website copywriting as you do to its design or navigation. There are some strict no-nos when it comes to writing content for a website. If you want to excel in the online business, you have to surely avoid these grave mistakes. Let us see what they are:

web copywriting mistakes

Writing in an inward manner:Your writing should not suffer from the inward-focus syndrome i.e. describing your product’s story in all its grandeur. This is because your customers simply do not have the time for it. The only thing they are interested to know is: ‘how can I benefit from it?’ Period! Therefore, the product page should talk about its features, benefits and the experience that can be derived from it. Ideally, a typical page should use 50 words on features, 100 on benefits and 150 on the experience.

Hiding the lead: The decision to stay on a site is made by a visitor within a couple of seconds. In such a scenario, you cannot   expect to save the best for the last. You have to come straight to the point because you cannot expect visitors to read your site from start to finish. It is clearly not a novel where you can take the liberty of beating around the bush in order to build the suspense. Thus, find out your lead and highlight it in bold especially if you cannot begin with it.

Ordinary meta content: Website copywriting is not only about the main content that is uploaded on the site and is present in all its pages. Certain meta factors also have a major role to play in brand awareness, user experience and conversion. Though majority of meta elements are meant for search engines, there are two which pertain to humans namely meta title and description. You cannot afford to have a lackadaisical approach towards them. The title tag should straightforwardly and clearly explain the nature of the page. Similarly, the meta description should include an attractive incentive that can entice the visitor to click.

Too Much of Content: Brevity works because curiosity is aroused by it. A site which has limited but relevant content triggers interest, compelling the visitor to explore more. However, if everything is mentioned in a detailed and elaborate manner, nothing is left for the imagination. Therefore, avoid stuffing every bit of information and keep the content short and crisp.

Absence of or a weak call to action: A brilliantly written persuasive page becomes meaningless if there is no call to action (CTA). You cannot expect your visitors to be so inspired by your web content so as to pick up their phone instantly and call or submit the online form and urge you to get in touch with them. Thus, website copywriting ought to include a proper call to action such as ‘place an order’, ‘get a quote’, ‘enroll, subscribe, enter’ or ‘learn more.’

Do not commit these mistakes and you can expect a healthy flow of visitors to your site.

How Content Writers Should Deal with Criticism

Tagged Under :

content writing criticismOne of the biggest problems with creative people is that sometimes some of their wonderful ideas don’t get the appreciation they deserve. If you are a content writer, you must have faced instances where someone told you, “This article is not that good”. Such negative feedback certainly hurts but instead of getting frustrated, you must learn to deal with criticism.

Whenever you put a work in front of mass audience, they are going to judge it and share their opinion with you. You have to be courageous and listen to them. Don’t take harsh criticisms to heart because critics can be wrong as well. Whatever you do, don’t lose confidence in your abilities.

If criticism still feels unbearable, here are a few solutions you can try:

Enjoy it –

So someone said something bad about your writing. So what? It’s a part of your job. Take the criticism casually and don’t pay any attention. After all, even negative publicity is publicity. As a writer, your main aim is to encourage people to read your articles and since people are talking about it, that means they are reading it.

Nobody Is Right and Nobody Is Wrong –

When you write an article, you basically share your personal opinion, suggestions and ideas. On the other hand, when someone else reads the same article, he judges it according to his own viewpoint. Now, he may or may not like it because your ideas contradict with his. Let’s consider this example: in a “10 tips for attractive web design” titled article, you may have said that Flash can enhance the visual appeal of a website but a reader may feel that Flash is not SEO friendly and hence, should be avoided in website design. Both points are valid. However, you are looking from the design perspective and he is considering the SEO friendliness of web design.

Some People Will Never Understand –

You may not believe it but some people are simply idiots. They just don’t get any novel idea and criticize anyone and everything. Criticizing a content writer online is very easy as blogs generally feature a “comments” facility. If you read a few meaningless negative comments posted by Tom, Dick or Harry, just don’t bother.

content writing india Criticism

Look at the Positive Traits –

Read what your critics have said about you and you may actually find an interesting idea for your next article. Did they say something important that you may have overlooked while writing an article? For instance, if you write an article on dynamic website design and someone criticizes you for not mentioning HTML5, it’s a valid point. Accept the mistake and write your next article on HTML5 and its usage in dynamic website design.

Stop Self-Punishment –

Some writers feel so sad that they consider quitting the job. Never do that. As I have already said, negative feedback is a part of any creative person’s job. Don’t you know that web and logo designers often provide several redesigns just because clients don’t like the concepts? If clients are not happy with your content, rewrite and make the necessary changes to keep them happy.

Hope that the 5 tips suggested here will help you retain positive spirit against the harshest criticism. As a content writer, you have to accept both positive and negative feedback, learn from your mistakes and keep improving your writing skills to impress readers.

A Normal Day in the Life of a Website Content Writer

Tagged Under :

Whenever I try to explain my job of a content writer to folks, I am usually met with somewhat of an empty look particularly by my mother who, even after being told repeatedly, doesn’t say anything except that her son works in a seo content writing company. I strongly feel that my relatives and buddies don’t really understand what exactly I do in my workplace and throughout the working week. Therefore, I give you an account of a day in the life of a website content writer.

Morning Schedules ~

8.30 am -
My eyes open up partially and for an instant, I wonder whether this is short-term visual impairment. I curse fully check out morning coffee writerthe time and understanding that the current scenario requires early squeezing of brain cells, quickly invent a distinctive justification to mollify my boss on my late arrival in office while making sure it differs from yesterday’s explanation. I need to religiously set my alarm to get up on time everyday simply because I’m not really an early morning person.
In fact, before entering the field of SEO content writing, I never used the alarm clock to wake me up unless, of course, I had a timeline to meet and knew that it would call for some extra morning hours. However, now, I have to get up a little early in order to get my blog updated since I usually work on client assignments throughout the day and have virtually no time to devote to my blog.

By the way, the very first thing I do once I am up is to get my flavored coffee; usually, before I brush my teeth. Perhaps yucky but essential to get the cognitive abilities operating!

10 am
I reach my office at 10.00 am and quickly log myself in and open my e-mail account to deal with clients’ strange emails organize work writerenquiring about whether or not the required articles are going to be sent in the better part of the day.
I procrastinate in opening up the dreaded ‘Work for Today’ mail delivered by my supervisor. After all, the morning is too cheerful to dampen my mood yet.

Finally, the organized method starts; all of us get our work for the day outlining the duties we have to finish. I am inclined to begin my day with all the syndication procedures which involve checking e-mails to make sure clients don’t require any changes to the already-written articles. Once that is ascertained, we upload them on their websites.

Sending a piece of writing consists of including the content and tag words and writing Meta descriptions for that big bad world to read. If I am working as a content writer for any better paying client, it is then time to include another write-up to an article directory site.

11.30 am
Normally, at around this time, the syndication procedures are finished and the time comes to get a bit innovative. I take a innovation writerlook at the work schedule and understand the requirements of the clients I’ll be crafting for. The tactic is made by a search engine optimizer and possesses the hyperlinks we will have to integrate, along with titles and contact information.

An internal content is composed which usually consists of the targeted key terms in the first and last paragraph; they’re approximately of 400-500 words each. If I am writing for a better paying customer, I generate an external edition that involves prolonging the content and eliminating marketing materials along with the organization title prepared to be submitted to the previously mentioned article directory.

Mid-day Schedules ~

1.30 PM
Perfectly continuing my journey towards composing the 2nd content on the very same keywords, attempting to imbibe another point of view to the ‘floor cleaning services’ I’ve been evaluating, this phase is generously accompanied by sad looks completely glued to the computer screen. There are often some chips and Coca-Cola for company which is consumed with the hope that self-metabolism would, in some way, compel the creative juices to flow.

2.00 PM
Break arrives. I open my lunch box with a hyena’s hunger and like a soldier poet, derive maximum amount of joy and hungry face writerenjoyment out of the heavenly but short-lived 30 minute interval.

2.30 PM
After satisfying my hunger pangs, it is now time to get ready for the drill of the remaining day. However I know I’ll really feel sleepy for the following 30 minutes! Shrugging myself a little and taking a deep breath, I once again open my content writing worksheet to check what’s next on my agenda – 3 articles or blog posts and a pair of film testimonials still left for the day! Thankfully, the articles are simple link-building write-ups of 400 words each.

3.30 PM
We use tweeting as a method to highlight the recently distributed articles or blog posts. So each and every content writer has to put aside some time for tweeting, along with trying to find new organizations and people to follow. The next ten minutes are devoted to basking in the compliment, studying and re-reading congratulatory e-mails and recognizing exactly what an excellent boss/client I’m blessed with.

Evening Schedules ~

5.00 PM
I have completed majority of the write-ups and suddenly I chance upon an angry mail from a client demanding reiterations checklist writingon long-overlooked copies. I need to send an urgent “sorry” mail while inwardly daydreaming about baboons preying on the concerned client’s innards.

5.30 PM
Generally, at this moment, I proceed towards the end of my scheduled content writing exercises which imply I can devote some attention to the other types of article writing.

Generating articles or blog posts isn’t the only content I create for clients; the article marketing team is also in charge of generating PR releases, guest posts, text messages and e-mail marketing to name a few. Thus there is enough room to display one’s creativity and search all around for motivation.

6.00 PM
Refreshment break has arrived! I really like this time of the day simply because it’s almost time to go back home!!! Also, I leaving office writerdon’t have much work remaining now. Right after finishing my personal favorite cardamom tea, I rush to complete whatever is left of my work.

7.00 PM
Just like a perishing soldier limping in the direction of mother land, I too laboriously manage to complete writing my essential articles and attach them with mail to send it to boss or directly to the client. At this point, I can’t help but remember Mel Gibson’s famous independence speech from the movie Braveheart that occupies my psyche inadvertently. With stoic composure, I inform my boss that I am done for the day. Bidding sadistic goodbyes to my less blessed co-workers, I control a chuckle on my way out.

Quicken Your Pace of Writing

Tagged Under :

content writingGone are the days when people had the luxury of spending years for writing a literary piece. Nowadays, time is often given greater importance than quality. And who knows it better than content writers? They need to write several articles and blogs with the burden of deadline behind their back 24/7. Within how much time one can write a 500 word article is one of the deciding factors of one’s productivity at a content writing services providing company.

Here are a few writing tips that can help you speed up your pace of writing:

Create an outline before you start: Plan out what you are going to write before you actually start writing. Decide on the heading and the format or structure for your content. Make sure that your content justifies the heading or the title you have provided. If the content is a “how to?” then decide on the steps you are going to include. Planning ahead saves you a lot of time and gets your content done in almost half the time you would have otherwise spent.

Set yourself a timer: This helps you stay focused. A major reason behind the long hours it takes to write is distraction. Setting a timer helps you stay focused.

Don’t edit while you write: This dramatically slows down the process of writing. It also interferes with the flow of ideas. So, instead of wasting time to make that first paragraph perfect, just keep on scribbling what comes to mind without worrying about the quality. Save that worry for the revision part. Once you are done, go back to the beginning and start editing the spellings, grammar etc.

content writing tips

Keep typing: Don’t stop once you have started. Checking emails and taking breaks are a no-no. Set yourself a time, say 20 minutes, and just go on typing for those minutes. This is difficult to begin with but is fruitful once you get into the flow of it.

Write regularly: This helps in bringing your thoughts together which, in turn, helps in better presentation of the same. Not having the habit of writing makes thinking difficult i.e. it makes it difficult to structure your thoughts and give it a proper body. The thoughts seem to be all jumbled up in your mind and come about haltingly to you.

Include only what is relevant: Before you start, identify the goal of the content  and objective of your content writing services . Once that is done, start writing and include only those points that are relevant. Do not keep on writing only because you know about it. Suppose the content is about the benefits of dark chocolate, avoid including a detailed summary of its origin and where it is available, simply stick to your purpose, i.e. to convince readers that dark chocolate is indeed beneficial and they should have it for better health.

Use shorter sentences: It helps you get out of one. Long and complicated sentences take up quite some time to get them properly organized. Moreover, it is often confusing for the readers.

These tips are useful and will surely help you produce more and make you a pro in content writing services.
